No. When you clone a Form Template, you are creating a new template still, which is a copy of the original. You may edit whatever you like in that cloned template without it affecting the original.
Eg. You Clone Form Template A and rename the new one Form Template B. Any changes you make to Form Template B and the attached PDF, will only affect Form Template B.
Form Template A remains the same as it was.
