Registering with Stripe is essential for setting automatic card payment options within Formitize. The following video and instructions will help you to be able to set up a Stripe account quickly so that you can take advantage of Formitize options such as PayNow and direct card payments.





Account Creation:


  • Go to the Stripe website and click on 'Start Now'.
  • Enter your email address, full name, country, and a strong secure password, then click 'Create Account'.
  • Check your email for a verification message, click on 'Verify Email Address' in the email to confirm your account.



Profile Setup:


  • Click on 'Activate Payments' to begin filling out your profile.
  • Choose your location and business type, and business structure if applicable, then click 'Continue'.
  • Enter business details: Legal business name, company number, business address, phone number, email address. Select the industry most relevant to your business, add a website address or social media page, and add a brief description of your business or product. Then click 'Continue'
  • If there are persons of specific interest to note, such as representatives, owners, directors and executives, you can add them in the next section. After all relevant details have been added, continue on to Public Details
  • Enter the information that you want your client to see on their receipts and invoices. Select a statement descriptor and add a shortened descriptor, which will appear on the statement, as well as a customer service number for clients, then click 'Continue'.
  • Connect Stripe with your bank account by adding the details of the bank account that you run your business through. Double-check to make sure it's accurate, then click 'Continue'.
  • Set up two-factor authentication to secure your account, via any of the methods offered. You can use more than one authentication process for extra security. Follow the prompts to set up your preferred method(s), then click 'Continue'.
  • For tax (VAT or GST), there is an optional selection for your main product or service category. Select one if applicable, then click 'Continue'. Otherwise select 'Skip for now'.
  • Review everything that you have entered, if there is something incorrect or missing you can go back to edit it. When you are happy with the information you've provided, then click on 'Agree & Submit'.



Once that is all done, your Stripe is ready to be integrated with Formitize and card payment options will be available for your business account, for smoother, secure payments from clients.
