When creating or editing an invoice you can click on the item dropdown and start typing in the field indicated in the image below (Web Portal) to search the items that you have in your Formitize account. A new item can be created when editing / creating a new invoice.
When creating or editing an invoice on the App you can search existing items that you have in your account, image below. New items cannot be created in the App.
