In the scheduler on the right hand side of the screen, you'll find the 'Quick Create Job' option. Complete the fields and then drag the job element onto the scheduler (user / day / time) that you are booking the job for.
This ensures that Job Type Template communication (Job Status Update) that is triggered on Job Creation will trigger as the job has the customer details populated.
A Job that is unassigned can be dragged and dropped to a User, the job will then become assigned to that user and show in their Schedule.
You can also select a time in the scheduler (under a User's schedule) where you can drag across a few sections of the timeline, which will open the job creation window to fill the information in. Then choose Save / Deploy to save the job.
