Multiple choice fields are quite useful when there are set answers that you want chosen for a question. You can also create form events with them, for example: if there is a part of the form that you would like hidden by default, but will become visible if a particular answer is selected.

To create or edit a Multiple Choice field in your form, go to Forms > Existing Templates > Select the edit arrow of the form you'd like to edit > Form builder. In the selections to the left side of the screen, there is a section for Multiple Choice fields which you can drag and drop onto the form, wherever you would like them to be.

There are four types of Multiple Choice fields that you can choose from: Checkbox, Radio Button, Dropdown, and Button.

Checkboxes are the only multiple choice type that allow you to choose more than a single answer. These are very good if you have more than one task listed or more than one answer applies to the question asked. The answers are listed vertically.

Radio Buttons are another vertical list of answers that can be chosen from. You can only select one answer from this list, and when filling the form the person filling it out is also given the option to Clear the answer from the list if they do not wish to answer it.

Dropdowns turn the answers into a dropdown list for people to choose from. This is a great option if the selection of answers is a particularly long list, as it's very compact and doesn't take up much room on the form at all.

Buttons are similar to Radio Buttons, except they are listed horizontally, and are created to look like a coloured button when selected in the form. This makes them easy to see, and the question or answers less likely to be overlooked - especially if a form is long or complicated.

The properties for all of the Multiple Choice fields are the same and can be found on the right side of the screen when you click on the field that you'd like to edit the properties for.

If you decide you'd like to change the display type, you can select another Type in the dropdown there.

If you'd like the person filling out the form to be able to create new answers, then you can select Allow Other. If you'd like those new answers to be saved for future forms, then you can select Save Other.

The Items list is where you will have the list of answer options you'd like in the form. You can delete an answer by hovering over it with your cursor and then selecting the [del] option that pops up at the right. To add more answers, the smaller box below Items is where you can list them. Pressing enter after an answer will allow you to add another just below it and then you can select the Add button just below to add those new options to the list. If you'd like the answers sorted alphabetically, then you can select Sort Alpha

And then you have set up a Multiple Choice field.

A great use for Multiple Choice fields is the ability to create events within the form that depend on the answers that are selected. You can learn more about that in the following link:
