Custom contact variables are a great way to add extra details to your customers, and Formitize smart tables can also bring that field into a column so that you can run a search using those details as well.


But sometimes that variable column won't show.


That usually only happens if none of the contacts on that page of the list have no information within that custom variable. In which case, the table will 'clean' itself up, rather than display an entire column with no information in it.


For example: There are a lot of custom variables in this table, and through the list on this page, there are various contacts which have those variables filled out, so the custom variables are able to be seen in the columns.




But if we just look up one person who doesn't have any of those variables filled out, it removes the custom variable columns, since they're not being used.
