Contact Types can be used to sort various contacts into specific groups which can be used for other convenient functions. Eg: If there is a specific group of contacts that you would like to bulk email, you can use a Mailchimp integration with the Contact Types, so that it will send only to that group of clients. You can also perform a search for only certain types of contacts by filtering the contact type.


To create a new Contact Type, in the Web Portal go to CRM > All Contacts > select the Edit pencil for the desired Contact > Contact Type. In the field, you can begin to type in an already existing type and select it, or create a new one by typing the group type that you would like, and select Add "[contact type]". Save the contact details.


If you created a new one, that new Contact Type will be saved and available to use for other contacts.
